Girls soccer near mid-season

As the 2013 season nears the midway point, AlmanacSports.com takes a brief look at the girls soccer squads.
SIAC
Memorial seems like it has to travel out of the area for competition, so
fans have no reason to doubt the Tigers will take their 8th straight conference title.
Castle stands at a perfect 10-0. With Reitz and Memorial left to play, the
Knights will have to knock off local competition to earn their first SIAC title in 10 years.
Reitz has one of its stronger teams in years, but the schedule gets tough
real quick.
North is 6-4 with its losses only to ranked or out-of-state teams. Though
SIAC may be slipping away, the Huskies are taking the right steps to become competitive.
Mater Dei must've earned their #1 ranking somehow, but we cannot find their
results. (Wildcat fans please send!)
Big 8
Jasper at 7-3-1 is looking strong repeat as Big 8 champs.
Washington is playing the toughest of the local teams and against strong
competition at the Hoosier Cup.
Look for these two to battle it out for the conference unless Mt Vernon or
Princeton makes a serious run.
PAC
Heritage Hills boasts a 6-1-1 record after its first loss against Washington.
The Patriots are looking strong to repeat as PAC champions.
Gibson Southern squandered its ranking, though its 6-2-1 record is justifiable.
Still the Titans are in control of the PAC if they win out.
At 6-3, North Posey has impressed and could be a dark horse in the conference
race.
Blue Chip
Washington Catholic may be the favorites with their strong start.
Last year's Blue Chip champs South Knox have two
conference losses and is trailing the pack.
With some results missing, North Knox and
Northeast Dubois are still contenders in the Blue Chip race.
