Sectional 31 - North
By far one of the toughest sectionals, it features 4 of the top 7 in our local Almanac-8 Poll.
Hosts North already defeated Washington, but the Hatchets are never an easy opponent.

The Wildcats just disposed of the Knights, who won the sectional last year, so don't be surprised to see them take this sectional

#5A Gibson Southern is the favored team to win the sectional. Mater Dei is weaker this year than in the past, but don't count
out this SIAC team in October.

This sectional makes for an interesting blend of PAC foes. South Spencer finished 2nd in the conference standings and should win,
but hosts Forest Park would love to return to semi-state. Heritage Hills is also a serious contender.

Blue Chip rivals Northeast Dubois host #16A Washington Catholic (last year's champs) to open the top half of the bracket. A decent Pike Central
team should advance to the finals, but the winner of the Cardinals-Jeeps game has to be the favorite.
