Voting for 6th Annual Southwestern Indiana Fans Choice All-Area team is now open!
Did the papers and conferences get it right? Who is the best? Now is your chance to be heard!
We'll have the polls open for about a week.
Readers will determine the best in each of the following positions:
Offensive
- Quarterback (1)
- Running backs (2)
- Wide receivers & Tight ends (3)
- Offensive linemen (4)
- Center (1)
- Kicker (1)
Defensive
- Defensive linemen (3*)
- Linebackers (3*)
- Defensive backs (3*)
- Punter (1)
* - To allow for different defensive schemes, you can vote for up to four at DL, DB & LB. Top three in each category will be named All-Area and the next two by votes will, as well.
Readers will also name a Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.
All-star teams included are:
- All-Pocket Athletic Conference team
- All-Southern Indiana Athletic Conference team
- All-Southwest Football Conference team
- Courier & Press All-Metro team
- Courier & Press All-Southwestern Indiana team
- Downtown Quarterback Club All-City team
- IFCA All-State team
* - AP All-State, MaxPreps All-State, All-Patoka Lake Athletic Conference & Vincennes Sun-Commercial All-Area teams were not available at press time
To be eligible, a player must have been named to one of the above all-star teams and play for a team in Southwestern Indiana (Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Martin, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh & Warrick counties). We'll also accept write-in votes.
